Melissa McGowan, Director
Melissa is a native of Hattiesburg, MS. Melissa has years of experience in childcare and possesses many qualifications. Melissa has an Associate in Applied Science with an emphasis in Child Development Technology, Associates in Arts and a certificate of proficiency in Office Systems Technology. Melissa has also received an Outstanding Volunteer Service to Project Head Start Award, Certificate of Completion of Southern Mississippi Resource and Training and was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for the acheivement of advanced performformance level on the C-Pas occupational skill test in Early Childhood Education and Technology. Melissa is also CPR certified.
Filosofía
The purpose of MeMe’s Daycare is to provide high quality, developmentally appropriate childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschool children through increasing cognitive, physical, and emotional growth. To provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children enrolled. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.
Ubicación
Our location is in a quiet and safe neighborhood of Glendale. The Glendale Fire department is approximately one mile away.
Acerca de nuestro programa
At our school, we teach the concepts of math, science, engineering, art social sciences and early literacy through our play-based, child-led curriculum. We use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible.
