Mertie Little, an Oliver College alumnus, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She embarked on her professional journey as a teacher, dedicating two years to educating students in Madison Heights and Sterling Heights, Michigan. Following her teaching tenure, Mertie served as a case manager for the State of Michigan for six years. Her career path took a turn towards technology, where she earned a computer certification and began her ascent from a field technician to a System Analyst.
Navigating through various career shifts while being a single mother, Mertie recognized the critical need for reliable childcare services. Driven by this understanding, she aspired to provide exceptional childcare support to parents. In 2024, driven by inspiration and a desire to assist families, Mertie realized her dream by founding her own childcare program.
What she cherishes most about her work is the opportunity to forge meaningful relationships with families. The intimate class sizes and the sense of community she fosters not only enable personal connections but also ensure that her team can offer a nurturing environment. This foundation promises to support the developmental needs of children for many years to come.

Situated outside city limits in Newton County, my residence is nestled on 3 acres of land, offering a quaint country-style home within the Newton County School District, just off Highway 15.
