Our teachers are Pediatric First-Aid and CPR Certified, have passed comprehensive background checks and actively participate in Child Development classes and trainings. Our director has a Bachelor Degree in Child Development & Early Education, and has 6 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education setting, including the Child Development Lab and Child Development Center of Columbia, MO.
Filosofía
HighScope curriculum is play-based, child-centered, and research based. This curriculum focuses on a child’s strengths, and emphasizes learning through play. Children participate in active learning in the classroom by exploring and interacting with their environment and using their imaginations for purposeful play. HighScope early learning curriculum promotes a child’s development and works with families to prepare them for entering school ready and eager to learn.

Our mission is to nurture a child’s desire to learn and encourage their development through a safe, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment. We will promote development in each domain: cognitive, language and literacy, physical, social-emotional, and creative. Spirited Child ELC works with families to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. It is important to us to model and encourage compassionate, kind, and self-confident behavior.
