I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and over 7 years experience in the field. I require all staff to be infant/adult CPR and first aid certified. I became interested in early childhood education when I performed work through a summer youth program at a licensed center. I admired the owners and fell in love with children and the atmosphere. I knew at that moment that I wanted to educate children.

My philosophy as an early childhood educator is that children learn by illustration and participation. I believe that children learn best in a nurturing, child initiated play based environment that fosters self-confidence, trust, creativity, and acceptance of individual differences. I believe that each child is an individual and as an educator, I will value and develop each child’s strengths, interest, skills, abilities and knowledge to extend their learning. I believe that children learn through play. I will provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine.

I value and build on the children’s strengths and abilities. I encourage them to interact and communicate in a positive way and support their ability to self-regulate.

I am dedicated to supporting children’s learning, development, health and well-being through caring and responsive Early Childhood Educators, who focus on active learning, exploration, play and inquiry, and who see children and their families as competent and able, and as active participants in all aspects of the program.

I provide curricular based learning to develop your child’s fine motor skills, reading skills, social and emotional skills, and cognitive skills. Activities range from arts and craft projects, hand plays, sensory play, and circle time (letters, numbers, shapes, colors). Children will go outdoors daily (weather permitting).

We provide:

• Flexible hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am- 6:00pm, Saturday 8:00am- 4:00pm
• Wipes included in tuition
• Nutritious meals and snacks provided daily
• All staff is Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certified
