Kim E. Spiegel CEO has been a childcare provider for the last 24 years. Her positions have been the combination of paid and volunteer opportunities. She has volunteered at her local church as youth leader and Youth Minister. Her involvement in her community does not stop at church affiliations. She completed two tours at AmeriCorp in the Detroit area. During this time she developed and managed Headstart libraries and conducted interactive play group for infants and toddlers and their families. Ms. Spiegel has enjoyed working for local After-school programs by offering enrichment courses and tutoring opportunities. Ms. Spiegel has not only served her community in large setting but in very intimate settings as well. She has the privilege of serving as a private nanny to some of Detroit’s well established families in the Metropolitan area. Her love for children and her dedication to their developmental growth is insurmountable. Which lead her to open SoZo Granny’s Daycare. Where she continues to answer her calling to care for infants and toddlers and assisting early childhood development. Ms. Spiegel has strong ties to her community. She works diligently with established community agencies such as: LARA, Great Starts To Quality, Michigan Department of Education, CACFP Federal Food Program, American Red Cross, Ages and Stages Questionnaire’s, Child Development Association, Empowered Community Outreach Services, Family Child Care Network and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

I would recommend Sozo’s Granny to anyone looking for a loving caring learning environment for their little one. My daughter loved it. It’s very interactive stimulating and Ms. Kim, Honey is amazing hands down. If you want a place where you child can learn explore and grow Sozo’s Granny is for you.

My son is currently 2 and has been enrolled in Honeys daycare since he was 8m old! Since then he has grown to be such a polite intelligent little boy. I come home w crafts, informational sheets on their curriculum and yummy snacks often. My son is always happy to come every morning, and even leaves happy and full singing songs. Huge shout out and thanks to Ms. Honey and Tyler for caring for my son like he’s their own and allowing me to trust them w my baby!

We are located 10-15 minutes away from Amazon, Ford Motor Plant, Chrysler Plants, etc. making it very convenient if you’re working in these industries to bring your child to us.

Our neighborhood is quiet and safe with long time residents, making our community very close and loving.

We also have a fenced in backyard for the children to play in throughout the day.

We pride ourselves on being an in-home based childcare service that offers a warm, home environment for first time parents and/or parents that may not be ready for a larger/center-like environment for their child. We provide your child with 1:1 interactions in a smaller environment to help you and your family adjust to the child’s educational experience. We are with you and your family during the transition process into Kindergarten and beyond. SoZo Granny’s is a family daycare that emphasizes FAMILY.

We use all the programs available to us to support your family! Great Starts to Quality, Food Program, etc. We are also currently in the process of accreditation.
