Hello, welcome to our program! My name is RaShonda McDaniels, the founder and director of Little Steps Daycare . I have my CDA. I have been caring for young children for about 15 years. Immediately after high school, I started working with children. I am a parent of 3 children of my own, ages 9 years old, 5 years and a 4 year old. I am passionate about early education and truly love having an impact on the earliest stage of children’s academic lives. I am excited to provide new experiences your children wouldn’t get anywhere else. We to treat children like they are our own here at Little Steps Daycare.

The owners are genuinely amazing people! They go above and beyond to not only teach but make it fun. My daughter learns so much here whereas other daycares I felt she wasnt getting the appropriate attention or learning because of the ratio of kids to teachers. Little Steps Daycare follows a play- based philosophy. This philosophy will teach social,cognitive, and emotional development. This means that children in our program will benefit by engaging in an atmosphere that’s developmentally appropriate with quality care and love. This means that children in our program will benefit by learning together while involving families.

We are located two blocks from Muskegon High School off of Laketon Avenue. We do have a full fenced in playground in our backyard.

We bring in vendors for fun experiences. Past experiences are farms animals, choir, Christmas programming, ice cream making, etc. We are a small program but we love to have our children have fun and experience fun things.

Our admissions process requires a parent interview prior to approval for enrollment. Once accepted, the first week of care must be paid in full before your child(ren) begin. A 10% discount is offered for families enrolling multiple children.
