Learning Adventures Preschool and Childcare is proudly owned and directed by Cassie Nickels, who has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education since 1997. Cassie holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership from Madonna University and Concordia University.

Our dedicated teaching team is committed to providing a nurturing, supportive, educational, and engaging environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to learn and grow each day.

All staff members participate in ongoing monthly professional development trainings in various areas of Early Childhood Education to ensure we continue providing high-quality care and learning experiences.

For the safety of our families and children, all team members are required to successfully pass fingerprinting and background clearances prior to working with children. In addition, all staff are certified in CPR and First Aid to ensure preparedness in emergency situations.

Learning Adventures Preschool and Childcare is conveniently located on Michigan Avenue near Gratiot in Marysville. We feature a spacious and secure indoor & outdoor play area, both designed to encourage active play and exploration.

Beginning in September 2026, we are also excited to introduce a brand-new indoor play gym, providing children with an additional safe and engaging space for movement, learning, and fun year-round.

At Learning Adventures Preschool and Childcare, we provide a nurturing, play-based learning environment designed to support each child’s growth and development. Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, we will also offer extended enrichment programs for children ages 2½ and older, including Sign Language in all classrooms, Music Explorers, and STEM-focused afternoon programs.

We provide both a morning and afternoon snack daily. Families are asked to send a non-refrigerated lunch for their child each day.

Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to meet the developmental needs of each age group and include:

• Non-Mobile Infants: 0–6 months
• Tiny Movers: 6–12/13 months
• Younger Toddlers: 12/13–21 months
• Older Toddlers: 21–30 months
• Young Explorers: 2½–3+ years
• Preschool: 3–4 years
• Pre-Kindergarten: 3½–4½ years
• Begindergarten: 4–5 years old and entering Kindergarten the following school year

Each classroom follows a structured daily routine that encourages learning through exploration and play. Children participate in activities such as music and movement, welcome time, reading and singing, sensory play, art, fine motor and gross motor activities, as well as small and large group learning experiences.

For children ages 2½ and older, we incorporate preschool and pre-kindergarten curriculum throughout the day to help build foundational academic, social, and developmental skills while preparing them for a successful transition into Kindergarten.

During the summer months, we also offer a fun and engaging school-age summer camp featuring daily activities and exciting weekly themes.

Step 2: Schedule a Tour! Experience what makes our program unique. Tours are available Monday through Friday by appointment. Simply contact our Director to schedule a convenient time for your family to visit.

Step 3: Complete Enrollment! Fill out your Child Information Card, and we will create your family’s ProCare account. To reserve your child’s spot, a $50 non-refundable registration fee can be paid through the app or by cash/check.
