Ashley has a passion for play based learning with an emphasis on spending as much time as possible outdoors. She facilitated a Waldorf inspired homeschool group in Portland Oregon with ages ranging from 2-10 years old. She has worked with newborns and young children for over 10 years. She’s children’s yoga certified and she’s an Ayurvedic counselor. Mindfulness and simple, whole food meals are a part of her family’s everyday routine.
Filosofía
Trillium Play School is all about learning in a home setting. For younger children we follow a Waldorf inspired rhythm and the older children learn from The Good and the Beautiful curriculum. Learning in a mixed age environment gives children a more real world experience. Younger children learn from the older children and older children mentor the younger children. All of the meals are provided family style. We are also nature based and will spend a lot of our time playing and learning outside.
Ubicación
We are on the north side of Manistee in a single family home with a double lot and a fenced in yard. We are a few blocks from duffy park and a 20 minute walk to 5th st. beach. We have a garden and a diverse population of native plants.
