I have always had a passion for caring for children and creating meaningful experiences that support their growth and development. Before opening Willow & Wildflowers, I worked in healthcare, where I developed strong skills in caregiving, safety, communication, and supporting others through all stages of life. Although my path began in healthcare, my heart always led me back to working with children.
I am the oldest of six children and a mother of three, so caring for children has always been a natural part of my life. I first discovered my love for early childhood education while volunteering in a second-grade classroom during high school, and that passion continued to grow over the years.
Since opening Willow & Wildflowers, I have continued to further my education and have earned my bachelor’s degree in early childhood development. This educational background has strengthened my understanding of child development, early learning, social-emotional growth, and the importance of creating child-led, play-based experiences.
At Willow & Wildflowers, I combine my professional background, education, and personal experience as a mother to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel loved, supported, and encouraged to learn through play and nature.
In addition to my experience, I am committed to continuing education and staying up to date on best practices in early childhood development, safety, and nature-based learning.

Willow & Wildflowers Nature Based Childcare is a child led, play based daycare with an at home feeling. My goal is to spend as much time outside as possible, allowing our little ones the ability to explore and learn at their own pace.
I strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. My program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together.
I believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. This magic happens by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

At Willow & Wildflowers, we spend time outside in all seasons, whether we are splashing in puddles, searching for worms, building forts, gardening, climbing, or observing the changing weather and seasons. Nature is woven into everything we do and helps children build important social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
We also place a strong emphasis on building a close-knit community with families. Throughout the year, we plan seasonal celebrations, holiday activities, and opportunities for families to be involved. We love creating meaningful traditions and memorable experiences for the children in our care.
Our program is designed to feel like a home away from home, where children feel safe, loved, and supported while being encouraged to explore, take risks, build friendships, and simply enjoy childhood.
