Hello, welcome to our program! My name is Mrs. Charmaine , the founder and director of Chari’s Daycare. I have a degree in Disciplinary Studies in Social Work from Lake Michigan College & Sienna Heights University. I have been caring for young children for over 20+ years through CPS and my own in-home daycare. I am a parent of 3 adult children and a grandmother to 3 grandchildren. I am passionate about early education and truly love having an impact on the earliest stage of children’s academic lives. I am excited to meet you and provide your children with the highest quality care and education.

At Chari’s Daycare, we follow the Play-Based curriculum philosophy, which is a non-academic approach to developing skills designed to provide a firm foundation for later academic success. We help your child develop feelings of security, accomplishment, and self-esteem while living the daily and weekly rhythms that are woven into the cycle of the year. On any given day, we may enjoy art, storytelling, movement, and local excursions to experience the world around us. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through unstructured play, which fosters lifelong creativity and intellectual curiosity.

We are off the main street in the city. We are right on the corner and easy to find. We have a playground. We use biodegradable wood chips for safety.
