Hello! I am Raisa Alpuche, the founder of El 2do Hogar Wonderschool (The 2nd Home) . I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young and have loved incorporating my work with my family while I raised my own children, as well. I have 34 years of experience working with young children.

At El 2do Hogar Wonderschool (The 2nd Home) , we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space.

El 2do Hogar Wonderschool (The 2nd Home) is located in a welcoming, warm single family home in the Central Square neighborhood.

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include dramatic play area (for self-expression and empathy), art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), and sensory area (for spatial awareness and learning through the five senses).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday at mix of both my private yard and local parks and playgrounds. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At El 2do Hogar Wonderschool (The 2nd Home) , I want to provide an environment that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of each child.

I think those children belong to me. They come here and they never leave. I have several of my babies babies enrolled with me.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/el-2do-hogar-wonderschool-the-2nd-home-5240/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
