Hi there! My name is Kayla and I’ve been working in childcare for about 10 years now. As a licensed teacher, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children of various ages and backgrounds. I’m also a proud mother of one myself, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of early childhood education. Currently, I’m working on my masters in early education, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Through my studies, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the various developmental stages that children go through and how to create a positive and engaging learning environment. What I love most about working in early childhood education is watching the students learn and begin to understand how the world around them works. Seeing their eyes light up with excitement as they discover something new or make a connection is truly amazing. I believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow at their own pace. That’s why I strive to create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere in my classroom where every child feels valued and supported. Working in childcare has been an incredibly fulfilling career for me, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of young children for many years to come.
Filosofía
As a family childcare provider, my philosophy revolves around providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow through play. I strongly believe that play is an essential component of a child’s development, and it is through play that children can learn new skills and concepts, develop creativity and imagination, and build social and emotional connections. My childcare program is centered around a play-based approach, where children are encouraged to engage in self-directed play that is both meaningful and enjoyable for them. I strive to create an environment that is rich in open-ended materials and opportunities for exploration, such as blocks, art supplies, books, and outdoor play spaces. In addition to a play-based approach, my philosophy also incorporates a nature-based approach. I believe that exposure to nature is vital for children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional development, and I encourage children to spend time outside, exploring and interacting with the natural world. I provide ample opportunities for nature exploration, including nature walks, gardening, and outdoor play. Overall, my goal as a family childcare provider is to create a warm and welcoming environment where children can feel safe, supported, and empowered to learn and grow at their own pace. I believe in working closely with families to understand their unique needs and goals for their children, and I strive to create a partnership that fosters open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration.

Acerca de nuestro programa
Hi there! I’m so excited to tell you about my family childcare program. As an experienced caregiver, my focus is on providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. One unique aspect of our program is that we teach our students sign language, which not only helps with communication but also helps to develop fine motor skills. We believe that children learn best through play, which is why our program is split evenly between nature-based activities and play-based activities. This way, children get the best of both worlds and are able to develop their physical, cognitive, and social skills in a well-rounded way. Our outdoor space is truly special. We have a large area that includes a pond, which is not only beautiful but also provides a great opportunity for children to learn about nature and aquatic life. We take safety precautions to ensure that children are always supervised when playing outside, and we encourage them to explore and discover the world around them. We use the Mother Goose curriculum, which is a proven method for teaching young children literacy and language skills. The curriculum includes nursery rhymes, songs, and stories that are fun and engaging for children, while also helping to develop their cognitive and language skills.
