Our Teachers
I have been operating Kid Country Daycare since 1993. I have 30 years of hands-on experience caring for children. I have a CDA as well as some past college experience. I have raised two grown children with my husband. I have two Staff members. One has a Bachelors degree, not related to child care. She’s has three years of child care experience. She has three adult daughters with her husband. The other has a CDA and 12 years of child care experience. She has a toddler.
Philosophy
Kid Country Daycare is committed to providing safe, affordable, high-quality child care for your children based on love, trust and rooted in a play-based learning environment. I will attempt to keep my prices reasonable by pursuing grants and educational opportunities to improve the quality of my daycare while keeping the tuition affordable for families. I believe in providing family style, developmentally appropriate child care that encourages each child’s growing self-concept and confidence, as well as stimulating curiosity in learning through discovery, exploration and play. I strive for a balance of different ages so that children can learn to accept and appreciate the diversity of each age and stage of growth. I yearn to collaborate with families to find the best outcome for every situation so that each child reaches their maximum potential.
Location
We are located on 6 acres right outside the city limits in Sullivan, so we’re in the country, but not too far from town! We have plenty of room to roam and explore where the kiddos can enjoy the outdoors. We are in a walkout basement which adds a little extra safety during storms. We offer a huge playground with a variety of equipment.

It is our vision to become the BEST Child Care Home to all families in the surrounding community. Partnering with parents to provide a loving and nurturing extended family environment through which our children will have the greatest opportunities to become responsible members of their own families and leaders in our society. In order to strengthen family unity at the root, it will be necessary to integrate early childhood development and parenting resources throughout the community. Kid Country Daycare’s vision is to be nationally recognized as an outstanding Family Child Care Home.
