My name is Stephanie Malindima, and I have dedicated my career to early childhood education. I have worked with children for more than 30 years in this field and I have 5 children of my own. I began working at Circle of Mercy Daycare in 1996 as a teacher assistant for two-year-old’s. In 1997, I opened my own daycare, and in 2004, I founded Angels Among Us Daycare Inc. My passion for teaching and caring for children has guided every step of my journey.

I earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and attended Ivy Tech to continue my studies in early childhood education. I also complete at least 20 hours of continuing education each year. In addition, I am certified in CPR, bloodborne pathogens, and first aid.

In 2023, I expanded Angels Among Us by opening a second location in Mishawaka, Indiana, called Angels Among Us Childcare, while continuing my commitment to providing high-quality care and education that shapes young minds and offers a safe, enriching environment where children can learn through play.

Angels Among Us Daycare’s goal is to provide a safe, warm, happy, and nurturing environment where children can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially—at their own pace.



We encourage families to communicate daily with our staff, and we offer several ways to stay connected. Communication can take place through our business phone, cell phones, texting, parent mailboxes, email, Facebook page, and the Brightwheel app.

The Brightwheel app serves as a central platform for family communication. Through Brightwheel, we share photos, videos, and updates about your child, as well as send and receive messages that reach all teachers. Each child has their own secure news feed, accessible only to their family and teachers. Brightwheel is also used for viewing invoices and making payments.

We believe that a strong partnership between families and staff is essential to each child’s success. Children learn best through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. We set clear expectations, helping children quickly learn routines and understand what is expected of them. This is reinforced through modeling appropriate behavior, encouraging positive choices, and celebrating them with smiles and hugs.

Our activities are designed to support sensory-motor development, language growth, cultural awareness, and social interaction. We also place a strong emphasis on building self-esteem. Children are taught to respect themselves, others, adults, and their environment.
