Our Teachers

Ms. Paula - Director of operations - Preschool teacher

Ms. Paula graduated from IU East with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Paula became part of the Noah’s Ark family in 2007 starting in the 2 year room and became the director of operations in 2013. Ms. Paula loves children and loves working with them. Ms. Paula’s favorite thing about being an early childhood educator and director is the relationship she builds with each child and their families. Ms. Paula also loves being a positive role model for children and assisting children in discovering who they are. Ms. Paula loves teaching the preschool class and helping learn so that they can become productive individuals and succeed when going to Kindergarten.

Ms. Tara - Assistant to the director

Ms. Tara graduated from IU East with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Tara became part of the Noah’s Ark Family in 2000 and became the assistant to the director in 2014. Ms. Tara’s favorite thing about working with children is watching them learn new things.

Ms. Helena - Cook - Employed since 2014 - Food Service Certificate - Provides CACFP certified meals - Breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks

Ms. Leona - Infant teacher - Employed since 1995 - has her CDA and renews it when needed.

Ms. Abby - cook - employed since 2019 - started in the infant room - HS diploma. Food Service Certificate - Provides CACFP certified meals - Breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks

Ms. Abby - 1 year old teacher - employed since 2015 - CDA

Ms. Desiree - 2 year old teacher - employed since 2013 - CDA

Ms. Tasha - 2 year old teacher - employed since 2018 - HS diploma

Ms. Adrianna - 2 year old teacher - employed since 2017 - HS diploma

Ms. Brittany - 3-5 year old teacher - employed since 2012 - HS Diploma

Ms. Christina - 3-5 year old teacher - employed since 2022 - HS Diploma Ms. Kendra - Pre-K teacher - employed since August 2024 - HS diploma

Ms. Brittany B. - School-age teacher - employed since August 2023 - HS. diploma and some college

All of our staff is certified in CPR, First Aid and UP. All staff are trained in Health and Safety as well as Safe sleep and Child Abuse and Neglect. All staff have yearly TB tests and must pass FBI check and drug test. FBI fingerprints are done every 3 years and background check ran yearly.

Philosophy

Noah’s Ark staff believe in offering a developmentally appropriate environment where children are supported and challenged physically, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and creatively. Additionally, Noah’s Ark is committed to creating a safe and loving space for children between 6 weeks to 12 years old, ensuring their developmental needs are met through hands-on activities that promote social, physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth.

Our location is in the old Baxter school located at 131 NW 8th St. Richmond, IN. 47374. Right next to Mary Scott Park and behind Dennis Middle School.

Admissions

Once enrolled their is a non refundable enrollment fee of $40.00 and then again annually every January. First weeks plus last week tuition required to start.
