Our Teachers
Playgarden is led by Natasha Brown, an early childhood educator and licensed family child care provider with a Preschool CDA and college coursework in Early Childhood Education. Natasha believes young children learn best through meaningful play, hands-on exploration, nature, and real-life experiences. She thoughtfully plans learning experiences that build early academic skills while also nurturing independence, confidence, creativity, kindness, and curiosity. Because Playgarden is intentionally small, Natasha is able to know each child well, celebrate their individual strengths, and create a warm preschool experience where children feel capable, valued, and excited to learn.
Philosophy
At Playgarden, we believe children are capable, curious, and full of ideas. Our program is rooted in play-based, hands-on learning that gives children meaningful opportunities to explore, create, problem-solve, care for their environment, and grow in independence.
We value the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. Early learning skills are intentionally woven into real experiences, nature, imaginative play, practical life, stories, art, science, and everyday discovery.
Our goal is not simply to prepare children for kindergarten, but to help them become confident learners who wonder, contribute, make choices, care for others, and feel proud of what they can do.
