Our Teachers
Our teachers and staff bring a wide range of experience and qualifications, including bachelor’s and associate degrees in education, along with CDA certificates. Each member of our team is CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring your child’s safety at all times. In addition to their credentials, our staff participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. This combination of education, certification, and dedication allows us to provide a nurturing, engaging, and high-quality learning environment for every child in our care.
Philosophy
Our approach to child care has evolved to place a stronger emphasis on child development and early education. Today, our work extends beyond our centers, supporting children, families, and care providers with the tools and resources they need to thrive.
At the heart of our classrooms, we use The Creative Curriculum®, a research-based, comprehensive approach to early learning. This curriculum is designed to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively—through hands-on exploration and meaningful, play-based learning. It provides teachers with the framework to individualize instruction, foster curiosity, and prepare children for lifelong success
It is the commitment of Right Steps to: -Maintain programs with high standards of quality. -Provide children in our care maximum opportunities to grow and develop to their highest potential. -Share with parents the growing-up experiences of their children. -Help parents develop parenting skills within their capabilities. -Give parents peace of mind while their children are in our care. -Respond to the needs of parents and business/industry by providing and/or expanding child care services in response to need.
About our program
Right Steps – Central is located in the heart of Downtown Lafayette inside the Central Presbyterian Education Building. Although we are located within a church, Right Steps – Central consists of a non-faith-based curriculum. Several nearby CityBus stops make it convenient for families who use public transportation.
Classrooms have access to a large gymnasium in the building, which we use for games and physical activities on days we cannot go outside. The center is within walking distance of the Tippecanoe County Library and other downtown businesses.
