Hello, I’m Dawn Washington, the proud director of Dream Makers Learning Ministry. With an extensive child care background spanning 25 years, I have dedicated my career to nurturing and educating young minds.

My journey in child care began when I first started babysitting for my relatives. As I witnessed the profound impact I could make on a child’s life, I realized my true calling. This realization led me to seize the opportunity to open my own daycare center, Dream Makers Learning Ministry.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is observing children as they embark on their learning journey and embrace new discoveries. Witnessing their joy and excitement when they grasp a new concept or conquer a challenge is incredibly rewarding. The innate curiosity and enthusiasm they bring to each day never cease to inspire me.

Within our program, we have had the privilege of working with multiple generations of children from the same families. This unique experience brings immense joy to our team. Building relationships with families over the years fosters a sense of community and allows us to create lasting bonds. Welcoming siblings, cousins, and even the children of former students into our care creates a strong foundation of trust and familiarity.

Throughout my career, I have strived to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. At Dream Makers Learning Ministry, we foster a love for learning, encourage creativity, and promote values such as kindness and respect. It is an honor to be entrusted with the care and education of these young individuals during their crucial developmental years.

Welcome to our family childcare program! I am thrilled to share some details about our wonderful location. Situated in a commercial building, our program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, grow, and explore.

One of the highlights of our childcare center is our beautiful backyard, which boasts a flourishing vegetable garden. We believe in the importance of teaching children about the wonders of nature and the value of sustainable living. By involving them in gardening activities, we aim to instill in them a sense of responsibility, patience, and appreciation for the environment. From planting seeds to caring for the plants, our little gardeners learn about the life cycle of plants and get to experience the joy of harvesting their own vegetables.

In addition to our backyard oasis, we also make it a point to take our students on exciting outings to our local parks. Once or twice a week, weather permitting, we embark on a short journey to explore the natural wonders and recreational facilities of our community parks. These excursions provide children with ample opportunities to run, play, and engage in various physical activities. They can swing on the playground, run through open fields, climb on jungle gyms, and interact with other children from the neighborhood.

At our family childcare, we strive to create a holistic learning experience that combines indoor and outdoor activities.
