Nuestros profesores

Head Start preschool educators are early childhood professionals who support the development and learning of young children from low-income families. They create nurturing, inclusive environments and focus on school readiness by promoting children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth, often working closely with families and communities.

Filosofía

The philosophy of Head Start programs centers on the belief that every child, regardless of circumstances, deserves the opportunity to succeed. Key principles include:

Whole-child development: Supporting not just academic readiness, but also social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Family engagement: Recognizing parents as a child’s first and most important teachers, and involving families as active partners in the learning process.

Equity and inclusion: Serving children from low-income families and providing comprehensive services tailored to individual needs, including children with disabilities.

Community collaboration: Partnering with local organizations to provide health, nutrition, and social services that address broader family and community needs.

Cultural responsiveness: Valuing diversity and respecting the cultural backgrounds of all children and families.

Overall, Head Start’s philosophy is rooted in promoting school readiness and lifelong success through early, equitable, and comprehensive support.
