Our teachers are experienced educators with Associates Degrees in Early Childhood Education. The Director, Tonia Creech, is the mother of five successful adult children and she opened SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY 17 years ago. Tonia is continuing with higher education as well as obtaining national recognition through an accredited program solidifying that SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY’s childcare programs meet the highest standards for home-based early care and education. Tonia’s philosophy is that small class sizes and the development of a strong partnership with the community and families allows her team to really know each child individually and supply a solid and supportive foundation during their early years.

SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY’s philosophy is to provide our children with skills and knowledge which will enable them to reach their developmental milestones. Children reach milestones in how they play, learn, speak, behave, and move. The staff is dedicated to working with children to make their day a positive experience. Our staff uses positive words and encouragement. We are aware and careful of our word choices and the child’s feelings. Dealing with behavioral issues is always challenging. The staff first controls the situation and the tone of their voice while speaking with the child on his/her level. We make it a point to remind the children that they are loved by the staff and their families. Building a relationship with the parents is key to achieving their child’s success. Therefore, we partner alongside families to aid in our children’s success as they grow and become responsible independent little people. We are more than a daycare.

SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY is a licensed, loving, caring home daycare with a play-based curriculum that emphasizes child development, age-appropriate education, intellectual growth, creativity, self-expression, critical thinking, manners, charity, kindness, self-esteem, listening skills, socialization, encouragement, life skills, crafts, games, entertainment, and hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Cultural Diversity, Language, and Math. We also offer before/after school care along with summer programs for all school-age children. SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY welcomes a diverse and multicultural clientele. Researchers agree that the earlier a child starts learning a second language, the better…suggesting that second language acquisition skills peak at or before the age of six or seven. To aid in our children’s successful and competitive future, we encourage the children to be multilingual. We staff a teacher who introduces age-appropriate Spanish words, phrases, and foods to the children. We also introduce a variety of foods and knowledge of various cultures which allows children to be open-minded, learn about his/her pallet, learn of unfamiliar cultural foods, textures, education, and aid in the children becoming well-rounded. SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY promotes healthy hearts through nutrition education, smart choices, and physical activities. We honor and recognize nationally celebrated holidays and children’s birthdays by having parties, brunches, picnics, and fieldtrips that also encourage parent participation. Monthly newsletters are supplied detailing what the children are working on for that month, parent-teacher conference dates, holiday closures, vacations, and/or any changes about SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY. We pride ourselves on helping our families with any of their needs that will aid and promote the entire family’s health, education, and well-being. Therefore, we partner with food banks, free clothing facilities, church ministries, and various community resources that will aid in supplying our families’ needs. 2. Tour our program. Come see what makes SMILING FACES DAYCARE ACADEMY unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application. If you’re interested in enrolling, submit an application by selecting Apply to enroll. If this option if not available, you can message the program director.

We are currently accepting applications for childcare admissions for the 2nd shift. The 2nd shift hours are from 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M., Monday thru Saturday.
