Hi, my name is Rachelle Collins, and I have been working in childcare for 13 years now. It all started when I had my own kids and realized my passion for early childhood education. I loved spending time with my little ones and watching them learn and grow, and I knew I wanted to make a career out of it.
At first, I started by taking care of my own children, but soon I found myself taking care of other children as well. I enjoyed being able to provide a safe and nurturing environment for these kids while their parents were away. And before I knew it, I had a small group of regular clients who relied on me for their child care needs.
That’s when I saw the opportunity to open my own business and help other families in my area. I wanted to create a space where parents could feel confident leaving their children, knowing they were in good hands. So, I put my passion and experience to work and started my own child care center.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of caring for so many wonderful children. Each one is unique and special in their own way, and it brings me joy to watch them learn and grow. I take pride in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for these little ones, and I feel honored to be a part of their early childhood experiences.
Working in childcare has been a true blessing for me, and I feel grateful every day for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families.
Filozofi
As a play-based family childcare provider, my philosophy revolves around creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. I believe that young children learn best through play, and I strive to create an environment that encourages imaginative play, exploration, and discovery.
In my family childcare program, I focus on helping children develop the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. I understand that the transition to kindergarten can be a big step for children and their families, so I work closely with parents to ensure that their child is ready for this new adventure.
One of my goals is to help children develop a love of learning. I believe that children learn best when they are engaged and interested in what they are doing, so I strive to create a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles and interests. Whether it’s building with blocks, painting, or reading books, I encourage children to explore their world and develop a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their lives.
I also recognize the importance of social-emotional development in young children. In my family childcare program, I work to create a warm and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and respected. I encourage positive social interactions and teach children the skills they need to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and develop empathy and compassion.
Overall, my philosophy as a play-based family childcare provider is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and prepare for the next stage of their journey. Whether it’s getting ready for kindergarten or exploring the world around them, I am committed to helping children develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life.

At 2ND TO BEST CHILDCARE, we are proud to offer a warm and welcoming environment for our young students. Our center is located in a cozy family home, where children can feel comfortable and at ease as they explore and learn.
One of the highlights of our location is our large backyard, which features a small playground area where kids can play and run around. We understand the importance of outdoor play for children’s development, and we encourage our students to spend time outside as much as possible.
In addition to our own backyard, we are also fortunate to be surrounded by several parks in the area. When the weather is nice, we love taking our students on walks and outings to these nearby parks, where they can enjoy even more outdoor playtime and explore new environments.

Firstly, our program is play-based, which means that we prioritize learning through play and exploration. We believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in activities that are interesting and relevant to them. Our teachers are skilled at designing activities that foster learning while also being fun and engaging for our young students.
Additionally, we are a 24-hour program, which is another feature that sets us apart. We understand that many parents have non-traditional work schedules and need childcare outside of typical business hours. That’s why we offer a flexible schedule that accommodates the needs of working parents. Our team of caregivers are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, regardless of the time of day.
Lastly, our goal is to prepare our younger students for kindergarten. We believe that early childhood education sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning. Our curriculum is designed to help children develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. We focus on early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
