My husband and I are the child care providers in my home. We have subs we use from time to time. Our subs and ourselves have all the required licensing training. I hold my CDA. I have been a child care provider since 1999. My husband has been my full time child care assistant since 2017.

Our lead teacher at our town program has been with us for 20 years. She has 20 plus years of child care experience. She holds her CDA in early child hood education. She is a mother of 3 children of her own.

We have a family member who happened to find Ena when we were in a major crunch. She was sweet as pie when I called her later to confirm she had a spot for our son. We were able to do a meet and greet/walkthrough before signing on. I knew the moment she went through all of her typed up policies, schedules and food rules, that we would mesh all too well! Her decades of experience and how she had her day to day laid out with kids of all ages, put this nervous first time mom right at ease. It’s always hard dropping your baby off to a stranger that first day but I was met with the biggest hug which made us feel right at home. She texts pictures and videos throughout the day which made it that much better. She’s been our saving grace since our son has been ill for the past several months by helping me give him meds and even suggested we ask his ped about doing an X-ray for his adenoids to which our doctor never thought about doing. It turned out that that was the issue all along! Without her, we would be on the struggle bus still. They really do feel like family and we’ll always stay in contact even after he ages out of her care!

We ADORE Ena’s Playpen! As we are ending our 3 year journey with Lora (only due to us moving) we feel like we are saying “see you later” to genuine part of our family. As a parent, there is no greater gift than being able to work to provide for our family while knowing our babies are being loved and cared for as we would. As an added bonus, we feel that our children have learned and grown so much while under Lora’s care. There were countless times our children would come home with some new fact or skill that I knew they didn’t learn from us. For this and so many other reasons, Ena’s Playpen will always hold an incredibly dear place in the hearts of our entire family.

Ena’s Playpen has been absolutely amazing for us! My child is safe, loved, and learning while she’s here which gives me the peace of mind I need to come to work. She had a rough transition into daycare at 15 months old, but Ena always took pictures to reassure me she was doing great through the day. Ena and Dennis are great with all of the kids and it’s become a second family for her. Such a great place!

Filosofía

In our home program we welcome your family into our family. Our program is play based with child led learning. We use Planning Playtime curriculum and Mommy and Me Preschool. We cherish the time we spend with our children. The small part we play in their early learning sets the foundation of their childhood.

Ubicación

Our main location is located close to highway 30 and not far from State Rd 9. We are in Little Turtle School district. We offer a country living setting with a large outdoor play space for our children.

Our town location in located in Mary Raber School district with access to State Road 205 and State Road 9. We are also a few miles from Highway 30.

My program is a class 2 licensed home. We are a level 3 Paths to Quality program. We accept CCDF children. We offer a preschool curriculum to our 3-5 year old children. We are a play based home with child led learning and play. My husband and I run our in home program. I have been providing care in Columbia City since 1999. We are a family based and take pride in your family becoming part of our family. We have have a separate play areas for our children to learn and play. We also offer an amazing outdoor play space for our littles to explore and learn.

We have another location in town of Columbia City. Our home in town is a class 1 home. Our lead teacher has been with us for 20 years. She has her CDA and 20 plus years in child care. Our program services 10 children at this location. Our program is a member of PTQ level 3. We offer a preschool curriculum for 4-5 year old’s. We are open Monday ~ Friday from 6:30-4pm. Our program is 1500 square foot all dedicated to our program with a large outdoor play area for the children to learn and explore.

Admisiones

Our admission is a quick phone call to set up a time for a meet and greet. We will have a meet and greet with your family including your children. During this time we will discuss and go over our hand book and tour our programs. We will talk and get to know each other. I will send our hand book home with your family so you have time to go over and understand our program policies. Once we both decide that we are ready to move forward a $150.00 deposit will need to be placed to secure your child’s spot. This deposit is non-refundable, if you decide to not enroll. If your child enrolls on day agreed upon, then the deposit goes towards your child’s first week of care.
