Taffney Carter, Owner/Director
Taffney graduated from the University of Central Oregon Community College in 2002 with an Associate degree. 2013, she received her CDA from Ivy Tech. In 2010, Her and Her Husband moved from Louisville back to her home town of Boonville and realized her dream of having her own in home childcare program after the birth of her daughter. Her favorite thing about what she does is developing relationships with the children that she teaches and their families. She believes that small class size and the development of a strong community allow her and her team to really know each child as an individual and to provide a solid and supportive foundation in the early years.

At our school, we strive to create a safe and caring community of young explorers inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our program is a place where children can learn through doing, invent through making, and solve problems by working together. We believe that when children are truly engaged with their environment, magic happens. Our team of experienced and innovative teachers do this by creating a space driven by the interests and ideas of the children who inhabit it.

At our daycare, we strive for providing a loving atmosphere where we learn through our play-based, child-led curriculum. We use the interests and ideas of the children as a jumping off place. The materials are open-ended and invite discovery. Children make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions whenever possible
