Our Teachers

Meet the Director of Early Learning, Dusty McRohrer.

Dusty comes to APA with 8 years of experience of early childhood Education, and I have received my Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s within Early Childhood Education. He has a love for the education of outdoors and allowing the children to lead their own journey. He is excited about bringing a passion for Reggio-Emilia Approach to help support the development of the whole child and build the community around them.

Philosophy

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, we believe children are active participants in their learning and deserve environments that inspire wonder, discovery, and connection. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to encourage exploration through open-ended materials, meaningful interactions, creative expression, and hands-on experiences. Teachers serve as guides and co-learners, carefully observing children’s interests and building curriculum experiences that deepen inquiry and support individual development.

Location

We are connected with Anderson Preparatory Academy located in both schools.

About our program

At APA Launch Pad in Anderson, children thrive in a warm, supportive atmosphere. Our dedicated team nurtures independence while following the Reggio Emilia Approach, fostering a unique and enriching educational experience for young learners.
