Our Philosophy
At Udder Angels Childcare, we believe children learn best in a warm, homelike environment where they feel safe, supported, and valued. Our center provides developmentally appropriate programs and activities that nurture each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, physical, and language development.
We recognize that play is the foundation of learning, and through meaningful play experiences, children build the skills they need to reach their full potential.
Our ultimate goal is to help children become kindergarten-ready and to grow into confident, capable, and compassionate lifelong learners and citizens.

Udder Angels Childcare is located in Alexandria, Indiana, at the corner of West Adams Street and Sheridan Street. Our center is nestled in a safe, quiet neighborhood, providing a peaceful and welcoming environment where children can learn and grow with confidence.

Our Approach to Learning
At Udder Angels Childcare, we believe that young children learn best through hands-on, play-based experiences. Our curriculum blends child-led exploration with intentional teaching to support early learning across all domains.
Using the Creative Curriculum as our foundation, we introduce concepts in math, science, engineering, art, social studies, and early literacy in ways that are meaningful and developmentally appropriate. We follow children’s interests and ideas as a starting point, using open-ended materials that invite discovery, questioning, and experimentation. Children are encouraged to make their own investigations and draw their own conclusions—building critical thinking skills from a young age.
We incorporate Conscious Discipline strategies to support social-emotional development, helping children learn to recognize their feelings, manage them appropriately, and develop problem-solving skills within a caring classroom community.
Our center is warm and inviting, with a balance of child-led and teacher-guided activities throughout the day. We value traditions and celebrations that build community and create lasting memories, including:
Preschool Graduation for our students entering kindergarten
Holiday celebrations throughout the year
Our annual Barn Yard Bash—a free family event open to the community
2–3 field trips per year to enrich children’s learning
Visits from community helpers and professionals to introduce real-world connections
