I am Belén Guillen, I was born in Argentina. I studied a Bachelor In Education at the National University of Cuyo and I became mother of two, Chloe and Heather, 9 and 5 years old respectively. After graduating from university, I have worked in different positions as: trainer, coordinator, assessor, evaluator, and territorial manager, in numerous educational projects to directed teachers, by different organizations such us: Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Argentinean Nation (Currently, Ministry of Education of the Argentinean Nation), Inter-American Development Bank and Organization of Ibero-American States. Also, I worked as a teacher and student counselor in different public high schools in Mendoza. During these years she studied Rauven Feuerstein’s Theory of Cognitive Structural Modifiability for about two years, learning about cognitive development. During 2013 I got the degree in Specialization of Virtual Environments for Learning for the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI). After 5 years of attending the Anthroposophical Development Center in Mexico Cuernavaca, in 2023 she graduated as a Waldorf preschool teacher.

Acuarela Preschool is located 6 blocks from downtown Boise. Fortunately, our street is not very busy, because it is within a neighborhood, it is easy to access to get to our school. We have a park about 2 blocks from our school that we walk to sometimes. Our neighborhood is very quiet and easy to access from wherever you come. Our neighborhood has a school 8 blocks away with a bilingual program in Spanish and English, where many of our students attend.

Acuarela Spanish preschool, Our place! Early childhood is the most important years in the life of a human being. Our program based on Waldorf pedagogy in Spanish immersion offers a loving, warm and family environment. The basis of our program and of Waldorf pedagogy in the first 6 years of life are aimed at developing spaces worthy of imitation, where calm, warmth and simplicity motivate the development of all aspects of the child. Our ideal is to create a place where children eat healthy, have enough time outdoors, have opportunities to move and play freely inside and outside, listen to stories, rhymes and songs, sleep well and that electronic devices are limited to the maximum and that they They are surrounded by adults worthy of imitation, who radiate confidence and coherence. Our program focuses on the development of children in the physical aspects (physical motor development, gross and perceptual) movement and perception, emotional (learning to create, which includes art and movement), social and effective communication (development of language, literature, pre reading, and writing) and the area of research related to mathematics, transversely working the development of cognitive functions that are involved in all processes of thought and put into practice in all situations of life (Structural Cognitive Modifiability Theory, Reuven Feuerestein). Our program offers an immersive environment in Spanish, with native speakers, from a natural atmosphere. The child learns the new language by acquiring language that makes sense in contexts. The child is constantly invited in a natural environment of Spanish speech, with the goal of course being to communicate.
