Peggy graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL. (1999) with an Elementary Education degree. She is perusing a Master’s degree in Administration in elementary education. With over 25 years in the educational field, she realized she wanted more for her grandson and the birth of Foundation Montessori began. In her home-based Montessori school (ages 2-9), she makes sure everyone is being authentic to the Montessori philosophy: one-on-one, mixed ages, IEPs for all students, and working at the student’s pace- all to foster love of learning. Peggy’s favorite thing she does is teach students to think outside the box. She believes the authentic Montessori environment develops a strong community while allowing the staff to personally know each child’s strengths and challenges which will allow the staff to implement the necessary tools that will assist the students to reach their highest potential.

At Foundation Montessori, we strive to create a safe, caring and nurturing community. Our school embraces and follows the authentic Montessori curriculum- allowing each child to thrive and grow at their pace. Our students learn through hands-on while faced with real-life challenges. Our nurturing environment assist each other in problem solving skills, engagement, and encouragement. Our team experienced as Montessorians are innovative and resilient with children. Thus, they create an environment of interest and creativity from the feedback and observations within our community.

Foundation Montessori is located in Sunrise,FL, where the sun truly rises. Our home is located near Dan Pearlman Library, which we go to every week as a field trip, Sunrise Soccer park is walking distance from our home-based school. We are minutes from access to Turnpike, I95, & 595. Our neighboring public schools are: Pine Island Elementary, Nob Hill Elementary and Welleby Elementary. Our peaceful and quiet neighborhood ensures safety and tranquility to our school and our community.

Admisyon

Foundation Montessori Preschool & Elementary school takes School Readiness, VPK vouchers, and Step Up.

School Readiness and VPK vouchers are given through Broward Early Learning Coalition.

Step Up for Students scholarships are given to all Florida families. Visit Step Up for Students on their website to get more information and how to apply.

If you are a private pay, visit our website and download the “Registration and Field Trip” packets. Call for a tour and we will assist you with the rest of the registration process.
