Hi, I’m Jersey Denney, the founder and lead caregiver at Holistic Haven Childcare. Caring for children has always been at the heart of who I am.

I’ve been working professionally in the childcare industry since 2020, but my journey began long before that. I was raised in an in-home daycare and grew up surrounded by the natural rhythm of early childhood care. From a young age, I helped watch over my brothers, neighbors, and family friends—it was second nature to me. Those early experiences shaped my deep love for children and taught me the importance of patience, presence, and creating a safe space for little ones to grow.

I am deeply inspired by Montessori education, and I thoughtfully integrate Waldorf elements into our daily rhythm to create a balanced, holistic experience for the children. I believe in respecting each child’s individuality while offering consistent, gentle guidance and rich opportunities for play-based learning and hands-on exploration.

Non-toxic living is not just a part of my program—it’s a way of life for me. From clean, safe products to intentional food choices, every detail of Holistic Haven is designed with your child’s health and well-being in mind.

At Holistic Haven Childcare, we believe that childhood is sacred—and how we care for children shapes who they become. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that a child’s environment should be as pure, intentional, and nurturing as the love we give them.

We draw inspiration from the Montessori method, honoring each child’s natural curiosity, independence, and rhythm of learning. We also incorporate the warmth and creativity of Waldorf practices, bringing beauty, nature, and imagination into their daily experience.

We are deeply committed to non-toxic living—because what surrounds a child matters. From the food they eat to the materials they touch, we choose only safe, natural, and wholesome options: glass and stainless steel over plastic, clean non-toxic soaps, organic snacks with limited sugars and no artificial dyes, and a completely microwave-free kitchen.

Our space is thoughtfully curated to foster calm, creativity, and confidence. We value connection over control, presence over perfection, and compassion above all.

At Holistic Haven, children are seen, heard, and truly valued—for exactly who they are. We are not just a childcare center. We are a community, a home away from home, and a foundation for lifelong well-being.

What brings me the most joy? Seeing children thrive, knowing they feel seen, safe, and loved. I feel truly honored to be part of each child’s journey and to create a space where their hearts and minds can flourish naturally.
