Hello! I am Enchantee Merriman, the founder of S&J’s Helping Hands Family Childcare. I grew up in a family of childcare providers. Altogether, I have 15 years of experience working with young children and am a mom of two amazing children. I am a former basketball coach.

I connect my experience as a basketball coach with my childcare philosophy. This means I help all children to value teamwork, having a positive attitude, respect for one another and, of course, staying healthy and physical!

Filosofía

At S&J’s Helping Hands Family Childcare, we are passionate about the importance of a nurturing relationship between childcare providers and the child. We believe it is the role of the teacher to help them practice learning new skills that they will have for a lifetime. We value keeping things simple and achievable for young children and not rushing the many small steps they take to grow so quickly. Our director was a former basketball coach and mother of two. Like a great coach and teacher she believes children are served best when adults show them that they believe in their ability to be successful.

Ubicación

S&J’s Helping Hands Family Childcare is located in a charming, beautiful apartment in the Torrance neighborhood. Our program is in a peaceful gated community with a garden pathway. Inside, our space is clean, well kept and very peaceful. We rotate quality materials, art supplies and books in a very organized and curated way so that children are never overwhelmed. For outdoor play, we are located next to Pueblo Park which includes a play structure, basketball court, and grass. This is a wonderful time where children play and connect with their community.

2. Tour our program

Come see what makes S&J’s Helping Hands Family Childcare unique. Please schedule a tour or attend an Open House event.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application. Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
