Our Teachers

Hello! I am Leena Rudramurthy, the founder and director of Little Stars Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have 10 years of experience working with young children. I am a mom of two children. My favorite activity to do with my students are games that are designed to bring in fun with learning. I always think of creative ways to resolve conflicts and help children.

Philosophy

Little Stars Wonderschool is licensed family child care where we encourage our students to play to learn and learn to play. The daycare is open from 8:30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. We take kids from 3 months to 10 years. Our focus is the well-rounded development of a child - socially, emotionally, and cognitively - through hands-on experiences with nature and the world around them. We run programs for Junior Preschool, Preschool, Pre Kindergarten and after school programs. We accept students through out the year.

We guide children to learn how to express their interests and needs, and take care of themselves through growing their own food, cooking with the food they’ve grown, and sharing food with one another. Through dramatic play activities, we help our students develop their self-confidence and share their creative abilities in plays and shows they put on for their parents.

We use organic ingredients mostly to cook warm, healthy and nutritious balanced food that can please any picky eater’s tastebuds. Please email me if you are interested in a copy of menu. Please note that the menu is subject to change depending on the season without prior notice. The menu is changed often to keep it exciting for the little ones.

Please see the schedule of the day below. Our aim is to spark the curiosity to learn new things in the little kids. New concepts are thought to students using games to bring in the fun factor while learning.

We believe that exercise is important for a healthy body and mind. We include music movement, yoga as a part of our curriculum that is done during the outdoor playtime if the weather permits once a week.

Spots are limited and offered on first-come, first-served basis only. Enrolling now for fall 2021 start dates.

Location

Little Stars Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, spacious single family home in a quiet neighbourhood in Sunnyvale. We are a five-minute drive from the Apple campus on Wolfe Road, and a 5-minute drive from the Sunnyvale Caltrain station.

A large part of our day will be spent outside in our backyard, where children have a lot of space to explore and play. We sometimes do circle time and lunch outside if the weather permits.
