Miss Beth has worked with children for over 11 years now in many different forms. Before opening her own family childcare preschool she was a preschool teacher at San Clemente Preschool. She loved her position there, but once she started having kids of her own she knew a change needed to happen. From there, Village Tot School was born! Miss Beth has bachelor’s in English and a minor in History from Northern Arizona University. She also has 30 units of Child Development through Saddleback College. She is CPR/AED/First Aid certified, fingerprinted, and background checked.

Village Tot School is a great daycare program. Beth’s curriculum is great along with all the fun activities they do. She has my 3 year old loving books and she looks forward to having a few bedtime stories read to her. Overall and awesome daycare with such a great instructor!

Ms. Beth has embraced the Waldorf method as she see’s it as a beautiful representation of the whole child. In a Waldorf inspired preschool you will see a daily rhythm, songs, verse, stories, lots of play, and no screens.

​ Repetition and predictability are important parts of the daily rhythm. It helps the student feel secure in knowing what comes next, building confidence and the ability to be comfortable in the space. 

Songs, verse, and stories are how we learn about the world around us, important themes for growing, and even some letters and numbers. 

​ Play is how the young child learns social-emotional skills, uses their imagination, and enhances early fine and gross motor skills.

Village Tot School is inspired by the Waldorf method of teaching. Rudolf Steiner, the founder of the Waldorf method, says it best
