Nuestros profesores

My name is Manju Kumari. I am an early childhood educator and the owner of Akshara Learning Center, a family child care program serving the San Jose and Cupertino communities. I have a Program Director Permit, a Master’s degree in Economics, and 25 years of experience in early childhood education.

I speak English and Hindi, and I am also learning Spanish. I have two assistants who speak Bengali and Telugu, so together we can communicate in five different languages. I believe this is a great strength of our program because it allows us to connect with families from different cultures and backgrounds.

Our program focuses on play-based learning. We support children in developing social-emotional skills, language, early literacy, and school-readiness skills to prepare them for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. We use the Kids ’N Fun Craft curriculum, and I am also trained in the SEEDS curriculum. We use a variety of age-appropriate techniques to support language development, early reading, and writing. We begin introducing early writing activities around age two in a fun and developmentally appropriate way.

Our goal is to create a caring, inclusive environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn and grow.

Our philosophy is centered on supporting the whole child by fostering social-emotional development, language and literacy skills, creativity, independence, and a love of learning. We recognize that children learn best through hands-on experiences and positive interactions with caring adults and peers.

We value and respect each family’s culture, language, and background. By partnering with families, we create a strong foundation that helps children feel confident, successful, and prepared for lifelong learning. Our goal is to help every child develop the skills, curiosity, and self-confidence needed to thrive in school and in life.

Akshara Learning Center is located in a convenient and family-friendly area serving the San Jose and Cupertino school distric communities. Our location is surrounded by established residential neighborhoods, schools, parks, shopping, high tech company (very close to main Apple office ),bus stops

We are close to schools and De Anza college community resources, and families have easy access to major roads and public transportation. The area also offers many opportunities for children and families to enjoy parks, libraries, and other community activities.

What makes our location special is that families can combine high-quality early learning with the convenience of a well-connected neighborhood. At Akshara Learning Center, children learn and grow in a warm, home-like environment while being part of a diverse and vibrant community
