Hello! My name is Laila, and I am an enthusiastic educator with a solid background in elementary education, equipped with a bachelor’s degree. My teaching journey commenced in K-4 classrooms, dedicating over six and a half years to igniting a passion for learning and nurturing young minds. Alongside my teaching experience, I’ve also served as a childcare provider, further enriching my grasp of child development and effective educational methodologies. This dual experience has honed my ability to tailor approaches for the unique needs of young learners, focusing on personalized learning and interactive experiences to facilitate growth and exploration. In collaboration with my teaching assistant, Allison, we strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment, fostering curiosity, creativity, and independence, laying the foundation for a promising future for every child we have the privilege to serve.

Laila’s Little Steps, a Montessori-inspired child care setting for 3 to 5 year olds offers a unique educational experience by prioritizing child-led learning and individualized education. The curriculum is designed to align with each child’s interests and pace, nurturing a genuine passion for learning. An array of hands-on, sensory materials facilitates exploration, creativity, and critical thinking. In this mixed-age group environment, older children mentor the younger ones, promoting collaboration and a sense of community.
