Welcome to Odyssey Learning Academy, located in San Francisco’s Dogpatch district. I’m Magdalena Prado Rosas, the founder and director, with over 10 years of experience in early childhood education. My journey has led me through various roles, from lead teacher to early intervention specialist, and inspired me to create a learning environment where children can grow and thrive

At Odyssey, we offer a Montessori-inspired, play-based curriculum that empowers children to explore, learn, and develop at their own pace. By blending guided lessons with hands-on discovery, we nurture independence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

As a native San Franciscan from the Mission District, I’m committed to supporting my community by providing high-quality, personalized care. Building strong partnerships with families is at the core of our approach, ensuring that every child feels supported both at home and in the classroom.

At Odyssey Learning Academy, we blend various child- centered philosophies to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. While our curriculum is Montessori- inspired and play-based, our teachers guide and inspire children to explore new concepts and ideas, encouraging curiosity and growth.

We focus on positive reinforcement, using redirection and guidance to help children understand acceptable behaviors. Instead of emphasizing unwanted behaviors, we support children in making positive choices and developing self- regulation skills.

Our goal is to foster independence while offering the guidance needed for each child’s development, creating a space where learning is both fun and meaningful.
