Pwofesè nou yo

Brie Wakeland Muszynski has been working in childcare for over 20 years. She has been specializing in outdoor nature education since 2016. Her extensive work with the non-profit Garden School Foundation provided her with a rich background in leading and developing Next Generation Science Standards based garden lessons and nutrition focused cooking lessons to children grades pre-k though 5th grade within LAUSD. Her background includes over 10 years of experience as a yoga and mindfulness instructor to both children and adults; degrees in Spanish, Traditional Sign Painting, and Recycling & Resource Management; training as an herbalist apprentice; and years of volunteer service as a UCCE Master Gardener and LA Public Library Star Reader. Brie is also a mom to an adventurous nature lover named Winston. She can provide background check clearance upon request. Brie is up to date on immunizations and COVID 19 vaccinations and is certified in First Aid and CPR.

Konsènan pwogram nou an

Honeybee Forest School meets in natural outdoor settings, rain or shine in locations within the local Ojai area. Our program is inspired largely by Waldorf and Coyote Mentoring curriculum approaches. We are largely a child-led and play centered, but we do focus on incorporating a few key areas into our program. These include developmentally appropriate naturalist studies, handwork crafts, sustainability practices, yoga, mindfulness, bilingual music, bilingual literature appreciation, cooking skills, and gardening.
