Our Teachers

Hello! I am Sangita Gaur, the founder of Daycare Kids. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow. I have 10 years of experience working with young children.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in India in Home Economics. I was also a school teacher in India. I worked at Haskell Elementary and Noble Middle School for 18 years as a cafeteria manager. I was excited to open my own program because my good friend Jyoti has been running her own in-home child care program for 15 years and I was frequently an assistant teacher at her program. She inspired me to open my own in-home child care program because I have always loved working with children and she observed that I always had wonderful interacts with children and parents. I always talk about my own kids, who are now grown and college-educated.

I am a proud mother of three children who are all college-educated. My eldest is a nurse and my middle child does business consulting and my youngest is a computer engineer. I have always been seen as a motherly figure among all my relatives and helped raise several nieces and nephews in my home. I enjoy having my home filled with fun and laughter. I raised my children with discipline, love and respect and I similarly want to help instill strong values and manners for the children enrolled in my program. We do our best each day. I know what it’s like being a parent and enjoy sharing important milestones in each child’s development

Philosophy

At Daycare Kids, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that makes children feel welcomed and at home. In our program, children will feel genuinely cared for and cherished.

I love kids and working with kids is my passion. My values include kindness and trust. I want parents and families to trust that they’re safe here.

My program will be nature-based because fresh air is very important for children. More opportunities to be friendly with nature can help them learn and stay healthy and explore their curiosity. Different activities outside include gardening, learning about fruits and vegetables, games, balls, dramatic play, and sports.

Location

Daycare Kids is located in a warm, welcoming single family home in the Marklein Avenue neighborhood. Mission Hills

We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning), and art area (for expressing emotions and ideas).

Children will have some outdoor time everyday in my private yard or outdoor space. Children need space to run, jump, and move!

At Daycare Kids, I want to provide a loving home away from home. Calm neighborhood, not too much traffic. Neighbors are safe and look out for each other

2. Tour our program

Come see what makes Daycare Kids unique. If we are currently hosting tours, you can request or schedule a tour at the top of this page. If we are not currently hosting tours, you’ll see a “Request Info” button at the top of this page; if you submit your information using this button, we will notify you when we start host tours again in the future.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/daycare-kids-5329/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
