Meet the leading teacher at Joyland Family Child Care—a compassionate and experienced caregiver with over a decade of dedication to supporting young children. Her journey in early childhood care began long before she started her own family, through hands-on experience working in a family-owned childcare program and providing occasional babysitting for neighbors, relatives, and friends. These early encounters ignited a strong desire to care for and instruct young children. Later, as a mother of four children close in age, she naturally transformed her own home into a warm, structured, and engaging environment that reflects the qualities of a professional child care setting. She creates an environment where children feel comfortable, nurtured, and encouraged to develop by combining formal training with real-world parenting experience.

She holds an associate’s degree in mathematics. Additionally, she has completed child development courses at Monterey Peninsula College and is currently pursuing her associate teacher certificate. She is fully licensed by the California Department of Social Services and maintains up-to-date certifications in CPR and First Aid. She completed all the necessary trainings, which enable her to provide a play-based learning and caring environment that promotes each child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.
