Edna Sanchez | Founder & Co-Owner
Hello! My name is Edna Sanchez, and I am the proud founder and co-owner of Sanchez Wonderschool. I opened my program over 30 years ago after recognizing the need for high-quality childcare and early school readiness within my community. With more than 40 years of experience as a preschool teacher and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, I am passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing home environment. Teaching has always been more than a profession to me, it is truly my passion.
Katherine Sanchez | Preschool Teacher & Co-Owner
Hello! My name is Katherine Sanchez, and I am a Preschool Teacher and co-owner of Sanchez Wonderschool. Growing up, I watched my mother, Edna, dedicate her life to educating and caring for young children, and that experience inspired me to follow in her footsteps. I earned my Associate Degree in the Science of Early Childhood Education, specializing in children ages 0–8 years old, and I am currently continuing my education toward a Doctorate Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education. I am passionate about creating a warm, engaging, and academically enriching environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn every day.

Filozofi
At Sanchez Wonderschool, our philosophy is centered around providing a nurturing, bilingual learning environment that prepares children for preschool and future academic success. We believe that early childhood is a critical time for building confidence, curiosity, communication skills, and a lifelong love for learning. Our program combines school readiness with the warmth and comfort of a home-based setting, allowing children to feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day. Through hands-on learning, structured activities, creative play, and Spanish language exposure, we help children develop strong academic, social, and emotional foundations. We are passionate about creating an engaging environment where children can explore, grow, and reach their full potential while developing both independence and a love for learning in two languages.

Sanchez Wonderschool and Preschool Readiness Program is located in a welcoming single-family home in the Highland Park neighborhood. We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore a variety of developmentally appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite spaces include our dramatic play area for self-expression and social development, our art area for creativity and emotional expression, and our indoor and outdoor learning spaces where children can explore, learn, and grow through hands-on experiences.
Our program combines bilingual learning, preschool readiness, and play-based exploration to help children build confidence and develop important academic, social, and emotional skills at an early age.
Children enjoy outdoor time every day in our private yard and learning spaces, which include a variety of plants and garden areas that help encourage curiosity about nature and the world around them. We also incorporate simple nature and science activities into our program through our outdoor learning grove located under our backyard gazebo.
At Sanchez Wonderschool, we strive to provide an enriching environment where children feel free to explore, play, and learn while preparing for preschool and future academic success.

Sanchez Wonderschool is more than just a childcare program — we are a bilingual, language-immersion early learning environment focused on preschool readiness and whole-child development. Our goal is to help infants and toddlers build a strong academic, social, and emotional foundation in a nurturing home-based setting. Through our bilingual preschool curriculum, children are introduced to both English and Spanish in a natural and engaging way, helping them develop language confidence at an early age while preparing for future academic success. We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, guided play, structured learning activities, and meaningful interactions. As children grow, we support important developmental milestones through individualized attention, early learning assessments, parent conferences, and age-appropriate learning goals. Our program also includes support with preschool readiness skills such as communication, social-emotional development, cognitive learning, fine and gross motor skills, and potty training preparation. At Sanchez Wonderschool, we strive to create a warm, safe, and enriching environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and excited to learn.

Admisyon
Joining the Sanchez Family Child Care (SFCC) community is a simple process designed to help families learn more about our program and determine if it is the right fit for their child.
Please note: Families interested in our program must contact us directly before scheduling a tour. Tours scheduled through the website or Wonderschool without prior communication with our staff will not be considered confirmed or valid.
1 | Explore Our Program We invite families to explore our website and learn more about our bilingual preschool readiness program. If you feel that Sanchez Family Child Care may be a good fit for your child, please contact us directly for additional information regarding admissions, current availability, and enrollment.
Speaking with our staff directly allows us to better assist families, answer questions, and determine availability within each age group before moving forward with the admissions process.
2 | Availability & Tours Enrollment is based on space availability within each age group. If space is available for your child, our team will personally schedule an in-person tour so your family can visit our program, explore the environment, and have any remaining questions answered. Tours provide families with the opportunity to learn more about our daily routines, bilingual learning approach, preschool readiness curriculum, and home-based learning environment.
3 | Enrollment Process After your tour, if you decide that Sanchez Family Child Care is the right fit for your family, we will provide enrollment packets and any required documents needed to complete the admissions process. We look forward to welcoming your family to the SFCC community!
