Director and lead teacher, Shabana

Shabana is a mother of four and has 12 years of child care experience. It has always been her dream to start her own child care. She has supported many different types of learners including students with special needs, infants, and toddlers. Shabana is very excited to introduce her students and support them through reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. Shabana has a Bachelor’s degree in psychologist.

Filosofía

Sunshine Child Care believes in a play-based philosophy. We believe that children’s play unlocks their creativity and imagination, and develops reading, thinking, and problem solving skills as well as further develops motor skills. It provides the base foundation for learning and we incorporate it into our daily routine.

Ubicación

Our program is located in a beautiful home in Garland, Texas. There is easy access to freeways near our home. We have our own dedicated backyard which our students have access to for outdoor play, enjoying nature, and fresh air. We are close to the boarder of Plano and Richardson and often have students joining us from the area.

Acerca de nuestro programa

Our program is centered around supporting children in their exploration and learning. We offer a mixed age program for infants through five years old. We believe that a mixed age program allows for students to mentor, nurture, and learn from each other.

We teach the Mother Goose curriculum and incorporate daily aspects of arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, and reading.
