Hello! I am Homa Fard-Ramezani, the founder of My Little Prince Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because it has always been my dream to design my own space where children can blossom and grow.
I have 30 years of experience working with young children and I have over 17 years of experience with children of all ages between one month and 6 years old. I have studied Social Work with an emphasis on Child Development in Frankfurt, Germany.
I have never stopped learning and took relevant courses at Cañada and Foothill College and other educational institutions. MY Family
Now that you are considering a home-based childcare for your loved one, you may want to know about my household members, too. Well, I live with my husband, a Computer Science engineer and our son, who is a student at Palo Alto High (Paly). Their love for children is undeniable. Our children get nothing short of endless and unconditional love. In our home, Love is in the air! Isn’t it all that matters in early childhood!?
One more thing …
You will be family, once you join. We are still in contact with the very first child who signed up with us and is now a teenager. They always come back to us to visit. That is why I have a very BIG family :o)

Testimonials
“If you want your kids in a loving, structured, homelike environment where they are nurtured and learn new things everyday, then this is the place for you! I cannot say enough good things about Homa and her staff. I’ve been sending my son there for over a year since he was 4 months old and have always felt like he was in great hands. He is always happy when he arrives and when he leaves at the end of the day. She has been very accommodating and helpful with dietary/ medical issues and communicates regularly about how he is doing. As a first time Mom, I have also learned a lot from Homa and am so grateful to have found My Little Prince daycare!” - Darya L.
“Homa and her team (especially Maria), are incredibly loving, attentive and efficient. She somehow manages to always maintain a sense of calm and patience when interacting with all children, and exudes genuine warmth. Finding a place for your first born to spend the majority of their day is no easy feat and with Homa I have always felt my daughter is being loved and cared for. There is just a real sense of trust and honesty in Homa’s home and practice and as a result the kids in her care exude the same qualities.” - Jacqueline C.
“Homa was a lifesaver for us. We had been on a waitlist for the care center at my work, and when my son was finally born, they had an influx of sibling twins and we were bumped off the list. They routed us to another center, but this one had severe management problems, multiple citations (parents, the CA database is a tremendous resource for researching care providers: secure.dss.ca.gov/CareFa… ). The first time we visited, babies were crying constantly – “they just do that sometimes”, we were told. I left my son there for an hour and a half for a trial. He is very calm-natured but when I got back, babies were still screaming, and another older child was leaning over him unsupervised (he was only 3 months old). We couldn’t get him out of there fast enough and I left in tears. Later we found out about their repeated citations for unreported illness outbreaks and unsupervised children. I was in a scramble to find another provider, and Homa made room for us. When I described what we’d been through with the other center she was deeply affected thinking about the other babies who were still there. Our son was with Homa for three months, before a spot opened up at my work. We were sad to leave her because he had become a part of her little family. The children at Homa’s always seemed to have real relationships with each other, and the environment was always calm and stable. We saw kids learning crucial social skills and the other parents were likewise friendly, grateful, and connected. Homa is a very special person and I’ll always be grateful for how she helped us. It’s one of the hardest things to leave a young child in someone else’s care, and I can think of few people more up to that task than Homa and Maria. They genuinely love the children in their care and the kids clearly grow up better for it.” - Erin H.
“My husband and I were very nervous about enrolling our daughter in daycare and were so delighted when we found Homa. She and all her staff are so loving and kind. Her home is like an extension of our own and my daughter has flourished in her care. She has a genuine love of what she does and you can see this in the love she gives to all “her”children. Her home is a safe and structured place for little ones to learn and grow. It is such a relieve to go off to work each day knowing your child is well taken care of…it is a priceless gift that we can never thank Homa enough for.” - Stacy G.
Philosophy
At My Little Prince Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. My staff and I believe that our program is more than just a “day care.” It is our goal to provide an enriching environment that helps prepare children to thrive in school and the broader world.
As a parent myself, I am well aware of the struggle to find a place where you can trust your beloved child will receive the best quality of care. We do our best to make this place as homey as possible for children and give them the love and attention they need and would get from their own parents. I believe that instilling positive values and providing caring attention are fundamental building blocks for a child’s bright future.
In our program, we provide a professional storyteller from our local library to read stories to children. In addition, we provide first-class home-cooked food with premium ingredients. I believe in creating a facility that is equipped with high-quality toys, art and learning materials, where children feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space.
I enjoy having a diverse mix of students as I believe that children should be exposed to different cultures and languages to be prepared for our increasingly globalized world. I aim to make all families truly feel welcomed in their child’s “home away from home.”
Location
My Little Prince Wonderschool is located in a welcoming, cozy single family home in the East Palo Alto neighborhood.
We’ve designed our care environment with play and learning areas that allow children to explore various developmentally-appropriate activities based on their interests. Some of our favorite areas include a reading / cozy area (for literacy, relaxation, and respite), art area (for expressing emotions and ideas), and music and movement area (for physical activity and cultural learning).
Children will have some outdoor time every day in my private yard or outdoor space. Connecting with nature is vital to a child’s happiness and growth.
