Hello! I am Alma Zuniga the founder and owner of A to Z Learning Korner. My inspiration to own a home daycare roots from my personal experiences during motherhood, my daughter, and most importantly being able to work in childcare centers since 2005 allowing me to witness my students grow and develop into phenomenal begins who are able to give back to their community.

She is currently attending and has been there since November 2019. You can feel safe knowing your child is in good hands here! “For our first child(over cautious parent) it could not more difficult to find good daycare but we feel so fortunate to find A to Z Learning Korner.  My daughter started there at 5 months and currently staying there. She is a happy, and social little girl – I am so proud of her development while in the care of Miss Alma, Miss Cecilia and Miss Patty. They truly love and treat the children like they are their own. They do the cutest projects with the children, they teach them songs in English and Spanish, they give them books to read in daycare and also for home , take them to backyard for playing, and many other things that are wonderful for the kids and their physical and emotional development . 

Their communication with parents is also excellent. I always appreciated knowing what was happening and their constant care and updates regarding my daughter . “Alma and the team at A to Z Learning Korner are amazing. My oldest went there until we moved out of state, for about 2 years. He was only 5 months old when he first started daycare there. “ We enrolled my 1.5 year old in A to Z Learning Korner after I went back to work. I had stayed home with her for the first 18 months and to say I was nervous about starting her in daycare was an understatement. However, she quickly adjusted and loved going each day. Ms. Alma and Ms. Perla are so caring, warm, and loving toward all the children in their care. The facility is clean and inviting and Ms. Alma provides healthy meals and snacks every day. “Being a first time parents we were really worried about leaving our kid with someone else. The day me and my wife met Mrs Alma, we felt that this is exactly we were looking for. My daughter started when she was 5 months old and now she is 2 years old. Ms Alma, Ms Perla and Ms Ruth are so loving and caring. I feel so lucky and thankful to them when we see my daughter hugging them and waving me good bye happily every morning. The meals offered are nutritious and healthy, day care is very clean and spacious , sufficient for keeping kids busy and active. The projects and activities are awesome, my daughter learned a lot here, she understands and now speaks few words in both English and Spanish. Every festival or special events are celebrated here. Ms Alma also sends us our kiddos pictures and we often discuss physical and mental development of my daughter apart from daily reports they give us about their eating and sleeping schedules. We are now like a family and I feel so happy, lucky and thankful to Ms Alma and her team for taking such good care of my daughter. “My daughter started at A to Z when she was two years old and my son since he was 3 months old and I feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful daycare. They are very loving and thoughtful. The staff go above and beyond and really engage with the kids. I feel like they care for my kids as if they were their children. My kids are very attached to their teachers and love them. This daycare such support behind them with the parents as well that even the parents of babies attended the preschool graduation for the soon to be kindergartners. “Our 1st boy has enjoyed A to Z Learning Korner for 6 months until he became 2 years old in this May. Their infant care was full of love, every time we picked him up in the evening, he looked so happy. I would like to thank them again and share our experience here. I moved from Tokyo to Cupertino last December because my husband’s work assignment was changed. I welcomed this environmental change so much, looking forwards to having California life. However in reality, I started to feel unhappy after this move. I had no friends here and forced to spend lonely days with my boy who showed sign of “Terrible 2”. My husband needed to work very late every day although I was 8 month-pregnant and needed his support. And additionally, English communication… To make my life more colorful and peaceful and to prepare for delivery of my 2nd boy mentally and physically, I seriously needed to a good daycare for him for 5 days-full time. We looked through more than 10 daycare centers, then we finally came across A to Z. We had several criteria such as home-made food(lot of nutrition, vegetable soup!), small scale place, 1-on-1 English teaching, affordable monthly tuition fee, and more than that, how our boy likes the place. A to Z satisfied all. Alma and Christina are very supportive and responsible for his daily life. He really liked their big hug and kiss! In this learning period, this Japanese boy completed 1-10 numbers, alphabets, colors, and shapes! We were surprised to hear his speaking and see how he exactly understood these meanings. In addition, we could get some practical advises from them about how we should treat with his jealousy against our 2nd boy. He sometimes hit his younger brother and we were so upset with this. Their advises were very simple but enough powerful to rescue us from that sufferings, which we really appreciated. It is great if our experience becomes a practical advice to you when you look through daycare centers but I like to recommend A to Z. We are also planning to ask for our 2nd boy’s care as well as him. So see you then!” ( 2014)

“I am a student from San Jose City College, and I just went to visit A to Z Learning Korner. I was really impressed to see the quality of the center. Everything is clean and organized. It is a print-rich environment, which is very important for early years. Every corner is full of tools and materials for children to learn. Also, I was surprised to see the high academic level of the children. Alma makes every activity a learning experience. “Alma and her staff have been nothing short of AMAZING!!! I was so afraid to take my little 2 month old daughter to any day care but Alma let me visit several times before we made our decision and put my mind at ease that everything was going to be fine. My daughter fell in love with Alma and Christina from the start and just smiles and laughs everytime they speak to her. Every morning when I drop my daughter off all the other kids are so excited chanting her name when we walk in. The house is absolutely spotless and the children are always clean. There is a daily reporting system in place so I always know how my daughters day was which means so much when I have to be away. I have such peace of mind during my work day know that my daughter is in good hands and that is priceless. I love that it is a bilingual program too! My job is transferring me to Southern Cal and unfortunately I cannot take Alma with me. I only hope we can find someone as good there. I have no doubts that if we werent leaving the bay area, Alma would have been caring for my daughter for years to come. AtoZ Learning Korner is a FABULOUS place.. “A to Z learning korner has been really great for me and my family. I had heard really horrifying stories about day cares and was really dreading taking my daughter to one but Alma the instructor and her assistant have such a warming heart and very caring to all the kids. Her place is well furnished and very child friendly. Alma is very professional and abides by all the policies required by the state. Her food is home made and very balanced. My daughter is very happy at Alma’s and always has a smile on her face when we drop her off and pick her up. A to Z Learning Korner is located in a warm and welcoming single-family home in a quiet Cupertino neighborhood. Our space is designed to feel cozy and comfortable while giving children the opportunity to learn through play and exploration. We’ve created different areas that support a variety of age-appropriate activities, allowing children to follow their interests and learn at their own pace. Some of our favorite spaces include a cozy reading area for literacy and relaxation, a music and movement area for physical activity and cultural expression, and a manipulatives and math area to build fine motor skills and early math understanding. We also offer dedicated spaces for writing, art, science, circle time, and imaginative play. Children spend time outdoors every day in a private yard or outdoor space, where they can connect with nature and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. At A to Z Learning Korner, our goal is to create an enriching and supportive environment where children feel comfortable, curious, and excited to explore through play.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/a-to-z-wonderschool-5879/apply – note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
