Hello! I am Ashley Nunes, the founder of Nunes Family Childcare Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I have loved working with children since I was young. I have 2 years of experience working with young children. My mother, Ms. Marva, co-teaches with me. Prior to this, she worked in an elderly care center so she truly understands the importance of care for all those who need support. We both think children are amazing and love running the show together!

At Nunes Family Childcare Wonderschool, we believe children flourish in a safe, reliable and trustworthy environment. Our main focus is to encourage each child to learn, interact and explore. Our goal is to provide positive influences while having fun and learning. We believe children are part of the community and love to explore their surroundings. They like to learn about how things work in life and experience understanding together. That is why we take them on local field trips often by walking to nearby places and businesses.

Nunes Family Childcare Wonderschool is located in a large, welcoming home in the Compton neighborhood.

We turned one of our largest rooms into a dedicated indoor classroom. At the center of this room, is a giant tree made out of recycled materials. This tree symbolizes growth and imagination. The rest of the room is organized well with books, puzzles, building, dramatic play and art activities. We also have a private yard with lots of play structures for children to develop their fine motor skills. All this is tucked into our beautiful home which gives a sense of comfort to every child and sparks an interest to learn and grow.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application at www.wonderschool.com/nunes-family-childcare-wonderschool-5510/apply – Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
