Our Teachers

Karina Russel- Program Director Ms. Russel is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment for children and families. She believes every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and excited to learn each day. Ms. Russel is dedicated to fostering a joyful preschool community where children can build confidence, form meaningful connections, and blossom into curious, capable learners.

Philosophy

At Little Blossom Preschool, we believe children learn best when they feel loved, supported, and inspired to explore. Our play-based, faith-centered approach combines purposeful learning experiences with plenty of opportunities for creativity, discovery, and fun. We nurture the whole child by supporting academic, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual growth; while helping children build the confidence, independence, and foundational skills they need for kindergarten and beyond. Above all, we strive to create a caring community where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to blossom.

Location

Little Blossom Preschool is nestled in the peaceful residential neighborhood of Castro Valley. Our location offers a welcoming, family-friendly setting that feels tucked away while still being close to everything families need. We are conveniently located near Castro Valley Elementary School, local parks, and everyday amenities like the Castro Village Shopping Center. With easy access to Castro Valley Boulevard and I-580, our location makes drop-off, pick-up, and commuting around the East Bay a breeze. It’s a cozy neighborhood setting where little ones can learn, play, and feel right at home!

About our program

At Little Blossom Preschool, we’re dedicated to growing hearts and minds through loving care, purposeful play, and meaningful learning. Led by experienced early childhood educators, our nurturing, faith-based program helps children ages 2-5 years build confidence, independence, social skills, and a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond. Through hands-on activities, play-based learning, and special celebrations, we create a joyful community where every child is known, supported, and encouraged to blossom.
