In a marketplace, a business can promote their service, and customers can use search criteria to find the very best fit for what they are looking for. This allows for an effective “matching” of a customer to a service (i.e., matching a family to a childcare program that will be a good fit for their unique needs).

Why do I want to be listed on a marketplace?

Think of it this way: if you wanted to rent your home out to weekend vacationers, you could purchase a web domain, build a website, and hope for the best. How many people do you think would find your site, unless they already knew about it? Maybe not the best way to promote your program, or to build a robust waitlist to help keep your enrollment full year round. On the other hand, if you list your vacation home on Airbnb, you can be certain that people looking for a home in your exact location can find you, and they can also filter results to their own specific needs.
