Linda Gilbert, Director
For Linda, the most significant moment in her life and career came in the summer of 1991 with the birth of her daughter. This special experience provided a deeply personal perspective on children’s early developmental needs, fueling over 30 years of passion in the childcare industry.
She maintains her expertise through continuous training in areas like child growth and development, health and safe environments, and developmentally appropriate practices. Linda is committed to fostering strong family relationships and celebrating cultural and individual diversity.
Halema Gilbert, Assistant Teacher
Halema has been an invaluable part of our team since 2008, bringing over 15 years of dedication to her role as an Assistant Teacher. A graduate of Pierce College, she loves sharing her passion for the arts and inspiring students to discover their unique creative talents.
Beyond the art projects, Halema is deeply committed to the whole child. She designs fun, educational activities while emphasizing rigorous safety and hygiene routines. Halema’s goal is to support children’s emotional, social, and academic development in a healthy, engaging, and welcoming environment where they can truly thrive.

We are located in the Eastside neighborhood of Tacoma, WA. Our location provides a safe, nurturing environment just minutes from the vibrant Portland Avenue and McKinley business districts. We are proudly served by the Tacoma School District, with Boze Elementary School conveniently located nearby. With quick access to Interstate 5 (I-5), our home is an easy commute for families traveling to downtown Tacoma and the surrounding areas.
