Hello, I am Diana Martin, I have been a preschool teacher with ROCK Club since it was established in 2007 . I am the lead teacher and assistant preschool director. I have an associates degree in ECE and I was a LPN for many years. I worked with Radford Head Start as the assistant teacher and the Lead teacher in the Head Start program in Tazewell, VA. I attend Compassion Radford Church . I have 2 adult daughters, both of whom are teachers . I really love my job and I consider it a privilege to teach your children about the love of GOD and to help prepare them for kindergarten. In my free time I enjoy hiking local trails. Ms. Sarah Cranford has worked with ROCK Club for 3 year and has been teaching preschool for 7 months. Sarah has an associates degree in Early Childhood Development with a specialization in Early Elementary Education. Sarah will attend Liberty University in the spring of 2023 for a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Sarah attends Compassion Radford Church with her 2 children. Sarah is a volunteer in the children ministry she has 1 dog and 1 cat. Miss Ashley Brewster has been with ROCK Club for 5 years and attended Rock Club has a child .Ashley currently attends Radford University where she will study Elementary Education. In her free time, you can find Ashley walking her pug Hank . Mrs. Brittany Isom has worked with ROCK Club for a year and has recently moved into the preschool. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Brittany also attends Compassion Church with her husband and their 4 children. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her kids outside, and visiting new places .

Ample research shows that children learn best while playing…..our program encourages children to learn through play and teacher directed activities that support learning in centers .For example while playing in block area , children learn many skills, problem solving (cause an effect) counting, sorting, taking turns and working together to form relationships with classmates and teachers. Teachers can pose questions that can help a child be able to predict problem solving through play. Children learn social skills, learn self-confidence, and they learn about emotions and self -regulations. Children learn taking turns and sharing through experiences and through play. Our daily schedule allows time for teacher lead activities in a whole group setting as well as small group setting .

We are a Faith based Christian preschool and state licensed. Serving preschool age children 3 years old and up to the time to begin kindergarden. All children and families are accepted and welcomed at Rock Club. Call for a tour , to see if we are the place for your family.

7;00-8:00 Arrival time, children are playing together until 8:00, they transition to Breakfast Time at 8:15.8:45 After Breakfast , children are given 45 minutes of play in the gym or on the playground, Play is teacher lead activities and child choice.

9:45 to 10 Bathroom break and water break.10:00 to 11 : circle time , includes singing ,dancing ,news of the day, Story time and learning activites and centers. Chilren

10:15 Small group , teacher lead activities, work stations and free choice play in the classroom.11:15-11:45 Lunch. Nap time is from 12:15 to 1:40.

1:40- transition from Naptime , bathroom break and we move to whole group playtime in the gym or playground.2:45 transition to classroom to get ready for snack time. 3-3:15 snack is served. Children then transition to different classroom for palytime, and parent pick-up.
