Our teachers are all First Aid trained and CPR certified. Each teacher completes over 20 hours of annual professional training in child growth and development.

Nurturing Minds of Value Academy encourages each child to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that each child is unique, and our focus is to support the child’s development by providing experiences that will develop the children in the following areas: Gross and Fine Motor, Communication, Emotional and Cognitively. We believe that these areas are developed through play and opened ended experiences that are driven by the child’s interest. No child is the same. During this time in the child’s development, teachers will act as mentors or facilitators. The children are the driving force for exploration and teachers provide experiences in the areas of Communication, Emotional. Cognitive, and Gross and Fine Motor in order to support the child’s wholistic development. Nurturing Minds of Value Academy also teaches citizenship and core family values, guided by biblical principles influenced by God’s holy word.

Our center is centrally located in the city of Norfolk, Virginia. Four minutes to downtown Norfolk and a 15 minute drive to Naval Base Norfolk and Little Creek Amphibious Base.

The mission of Nurturing Minds of Value is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for children beginning at infancy through school age. Our focus is to provide a stimulating early care educational experience that promotes each child’s social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. Our goal is to support each child’s desire to become life-long learners.
