KD1Care is led by Nicole, a licensed childcare provider, program director, and mother with over 25 years of parenting experience and 7+ years of hands-on professional childcare experience. Nicole holds an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development, along with Career Studies Certificates in Early Childhood Development I & II. Her approach blends research-based early childhood practices with real-life experience, creating an environment that is nurturing, structured, and developmentally appropriate. As a military family, structure, reliability, and consistency are central values at KD1Care. These values shape the daily rhythm of the program and the strong communication families experience from the start. Nicole brings a background in corporate leadership and communication, which supports clear organization, thoughtful planning, and professional-level parent communication. KD1Care operates as a small, family-centered program, allowing children to receive individualized attention and build strong, trusting relationships. Every child is welcomed as an individual, supported at their own pace, and cared for in a calm, engaging environment where they can grow with confidence.

Our daily rhythm includes sensory exploration, outdoor play, early literacy, music, movement, and hands-on activities aligned with early childhood development principles. We keep screen time to a minimum and focus on real-life experiences that help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

The area is residential, low-traffic, and well-suited for a small, home-based childcare environment where children can feel safe and settled each day. Our location is convenient for commuting families, with easy access to major routes including I-95 and I-295. This makes drop-off and pick-up simple for parents traveling to and from work. Nearby parks, schools, and walking-friendly streets support outdoor time and neighborhood walks when the weather permits. Families appreciate the balance of a peaceful setting with close proximity to everyday amenities. Overall, our location provides the comfort of a neighborhood home with the convenience families need.

What makes KD1Care unique is the combination of small-group care, intentional structure, and genuine connection. Because we keep our group size small, children are truly known — their routines, personalities, and developmental needs are supported in a way that isn’t possible in larger settings. Our mixed-age environment allows children to grow naturally alongside one another. Younger children learn through observation and comfort, while older children build confidence, leadership, and empathy. Daily routines are predictable and calm, helping children feel secure and ready to learn. Throughout the year, we incorporate themed learning weeks, seasonal activities, and age-appropriate celebrations that make learning fun and meaningful. Families enjoy shared moments such as holiday celebrations, special activity days, and milestone moments, all designed to build community while keeping children’s needs at the center. KD1Care focuses on real-life learning — hands-on play, outdoor exploration, music, movement, early literacy, and sensory experiences. Screen time is minimal, and activities are designed to support social, emotional, and developmental growth. Most importantly, KD1Care values strong partnerships with families. Open communication, regular updates, and a welcoming environment help families feel connected and confident in their child’s care from the very beginning.

Admisiones

To begin, families can request a tour or send a message to discuss their child’s age, scheduling needs, and current availability. Tours offer an opportunity to explore the space, ask questions, and determine if the program is the right fit. Once a family is ready to enroll, a non-refundable deposit is collected to hold the child’s spot in the program. Enrollment paperwork is provided at the tour or can be shared electronically if preferred. All enrollment paperwork must be completed and returned by the child’s first day of care. Tuition amounts and any applicable fees are outlined individually based on each family’s scheduling needs, so there are no surprises. Tuition and fees may be paid via CashApp, Zelle, cash, or through Wonderschool, which includes a small processing fee. Guidance is provided at each step so families know exactly what to expect.
