Little Gems Daycare and Preschool showcases its unique qualities by providing a nurturing, child-initiated play-based environment that fosters self-confidence, trust, creativity, autonomy and acceptance of individual differences. The director and staff are well versed and trained in a myriad of educational and behavior management models which enables them to support and tailor the program to meet the needs of each individual child. In addition, with a background in education including special needs students, we are able to informally assess the needs of all children and target the domains which need to be developed.

Jessica Caudle is the owner/director of Little Gems Daycare and Preschool. Jessica opened Little Gems in December 2023 and has over 20 years teaching elementary and middle school students.

At Little Gems Daycare and Preschool, our onboarding philosophy is centered around providing a nurturing, child-initiated, play-based environment that promotes self-confidence, trust, creativity, autonomy, and acceptance of individual differences.

In addition, our philosophy extends to focusing on specific developmental milestones for each age group. For newborns to age one, we prioritize language acquisition, core muscle development, object recognition, and sensory exploration. For 1 - 2 year-olds, we incorporate play with learning to enhance language skills, basic concepts in science and math, and motor skills. The program for 3 and 4-year-olds emphasizes critical and creative thinking, academic knowledge, physical strength, and social skills. Finally, for 5-year-olds, we provide a personalized plan aligned with Kindergarten curriculum standards to ensure they are well-prepared for their academic journey ahead.

Little Gems Daycare and Preschool in Bend offers a specialized approach, focusing on each child’s growth. By providing interactive learning experiences, children develop essential skills in a nurturing environment. Our hands-on approach sets us apart, ensuring a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Most importantly, Little Gems has established wonderful connections with parents by actively involving them in menu planning, assisting with art projects, helping their children with random acts of kindness, and donating materials. We have also established a great connection with our local community with neighbors donating equipment, materials, and new toys for the children.
