Hello! I am Lidice Casanas, the founder of Chelsy Family Daycare & Wonderschool. I was inspired to start my own program because I saw a need for high-quality care in my community. I have 10 years of experience working with young children.

Filosofía

At Chelsy Family Daycare & Wonderschool, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by feeling safe, loved, and nurtured. It is our goal to provide an environment that engages children with developmentally-appropriate activities and materials. In our program, children will feel empowered to follow their own interests in a safe space.

Chelsy Family Daycare & Wonderschool is located in a bright, charming apartment in the Washington Heights neighborhood. Outdoor play occurs at a local park or on a walk around the block. We are one block away from the 165th St station on the A line and along the 1 line.

Acerca de nuestro programa

We set a weekly plan each week based on children’s interest and what’s happening in the world. I organize our time based on holidays, seasons, or what the kids are excited about.

I keep parents informed with photos and updates. We have a Facebook group that parents join and we are able to share what’s happening.

Our program seeks to help children feel comfortable, loved, and peaceful.

This is a Spanish bilingual program. Your child will be able to speak and listen in the language no matter what they speak at home!

2. Tour our program

Come see what makes Chelsy Family Daycare & Wonderschool unique. Please schedule a tour or attend an Open House event.

3. Submit an Enrollment Application

If you would like to enroll, please submit an application! Please note that we require tours for all prospective families. Please do not submit an application if you have not visited the program.

4. Enroll

After reviewing your application, we’ll send an enrollment invitation. Upon accepting your invitation you’ll pay your enrollment fee, fill out enrollment documents and review our Parent Handbook.
